Cooltek was born out of the need for parents to be able to protect their babies from the harmful effects of UV radiation practically and stylishly without compromise...

The fabric needed to be capable of protecting a baby's delicate skin from the suns harmful rays and at the same time keep the baby cool when inside a pram or pushchair. It also needed to be practical, washable, simple to wear and easy to transport in a suitcase or hand luggage.

Becoolbaby’s research led them to develop a unique fabric, called cooltek, in short the fabric is known as a hydrophillic wicking polyester renown for it's water vapour permeability.

This capability of drawing perspiration away from the skin and dispersing it results in a dry, cool and comfortable environment for the wearer and the ability to keep a pram, buggy or carrier equally cool.

The fabric also had to meet the highest standards in flammability testing, colour retention, anti-static and wash shrinkage but most importantly the ability to protect a child from harmful UVB and UVA rays. Cooltek meets all of these criteria with the fabric having been subjected to rigorus testing on all counts.

Cooltek has been specifically developed for babies, in addition to the baby transport products, a range of protective clothing has been developed. These charming garments offer parents a safe, practical and stylish way to protect their children from the effects of the sun whilst enjoying the benefits of well designed beach and leisure wear.
